Who we are
Brica Studio LLC ("Brica Studio", "we", "us") is a Wyoming limited liability company that makes apps. This policy covers our apps and this website. If you have a question about it, email admin@bricastudio.com.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.
What our apps collect
Each app has its own section below covering analytics, crash reports, accounts, device identifiers, location and any third-party services it uses. If a category says "None", the app doesn't collect that data.
Odit
Covers the Odit Android app and the odit.et web app.
- Analytics: Firebase Analytics records in-app events, such as signing in and creating or editing transactions, categories, goals and wallets, plus sync counts and error messages. Microsoft Clarity records session replays and heatmaps of how you move through the app, with on-screen text masked, linked to your Odit user ID. On odit.et, Google Analytics and our self-hosted Umami record page views, without query strings.
- Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry receive crash reports and recent app logs, along with your device model. Sentry reports from the Android app include your user ID, name and email address so we can follow up on a bug.
- Account: Required. You sign in with Google, and we store your name, email address and profile picture, your plan, and any settings you add, such as a monthly salary or spending thresholds. For each signed-in session we store your IP address and device or browser type.
- Device identifiers: A device ID derived from Android's ANDROID_ID, used to keep your devices' syncs apart. Odit does not collect the advertising ID.
- Location: None. Odit doesn't ask for location access. Your IP address appears in our server logs, and Google Analytics on odit.et estimates a rough location from it.
- SMS messages: Odit reads the text messages on your phone, both received and sent. Messages from Ethiopian mobile numbers (starting with 09, 07 or +251), group chats and any senders you deselect stay on your phone. Every other message is uploaded with its full text, sender and date. That includes service senders that aren't banks, such as one-time codes and promotions. New messages are uploaded as they arrive, and messages from recognized banks and wallets become transactions.
- Financial information: The transactions, balances, wallets, categories, budgets, goals and people you send money to or receive it from, whether read from your messages or entered by you.
- Photos and camera: Receipt photos you attach are uploaded and stored. Scanned receipts are read on your device; on paid plans, the photo and its text are also sent to Google Gemini to fill in the receipt details.
- Microphone: Used only if you record a custom notification sound. The recording stays on your phone.
- Purchases: If you buy a plan, we store the plan, amount, payment method (telebirr or bank transfer) and the receipt reference you submit, which we verify through links.et.
- Ask: Questions you ask on odit.et, along with the transaction data needed to answer them, are sent to Anthropic's Claude. Your raw message text is not sent.
- Support and bug reports: What you write to us in the app, and bug reports, which include a snapshot of your device model, Android version, language, Odit's permissions and recent app logs.
- Third parties:
- Google: sign-in, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Google Analytics on odit.et, and Gemini, which reads receipts and helps us learn message formats Odit doesn't recognize yet, using the full text of up to 10 example messages at a time
- Microsoft Clarity: session replays and heatmaps
- Sentry: crash and error reports
- Anthropic: answers questions in Ask
- Vercel: routes requests to the AI models above
- Contabo: hosts our servers and database
- Cloudflare: hosts odit.et and stores receipt photos
- Axiom: server logs, which include IP addresses and device IDs
- Resend: password reset emails for older email-and-password accounts
- Telegram: our team's internal alerts: support messages, bug reports, reports of misread messages (including that message's text), account deletion requests and database backups
- links.et: verifies plan payment receipts
- Deleting your account: In the app, open Settings, then Legal & Privacy, then Delete Account & Data. You can also use odit.et/delete-me. Your account is closed right away and permanently deleted after 30 days; signing back in during those 30 days cancels the deletion.

Third parties
Some apps use third-party services (SDKs), for example to process purchases or report crashes. Any data those services collect is listed in that app's section above and is treated as data we collect. We share data with them only so they can provide their service to us.
Apple handles App Store downloads, payments and subscriptions under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive your payment card details.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
Data retention and deletion
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete it. Data stored only on your device is deleted when you delete the app.
To have your data deleted, email admin@bricastudio.com with the app's name and, if the app has accounts, the email address on your account. We'll confirm the deletion within 30 days. If an app lets you create an account, you can also delete the account and its data from inside the app; the app's section above explains how.

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also let you know in the app or on this site.
